In trying to think of more baseball-related stuff to bridge myself over to spring training, I keep coming back to this question: What players are most key to the Twins' success going forward? Prospect lists are great fun on this issue, but is Aaron Hicks going to be a greater contributor to future Twins wins than Josmil Pinto? Is Ricky Nolasco a bigger deal for this franchise than Kohl Stewart? Nobody seems to really do that, so I thought I'd give it a try and will keep it going as long as there's some interest. Here's how I'm formulating the question:
Who will contribute the most to the Twins over the next 6 years?
Salary is not a consideration, although actual time spent with the team should be. Pretty simple.
I'll try to give a wide menu of reasonable options, but of course, let me know if you have any nominees you think I should be listing. I think the question starts out pretty interesting right from round 1.
