The phenom who hasn't played above high A will be a bigger part of the Twins' success over the next 6 years than our 30-year-old All Star who's pacing a hall-of-fame career, according to voters. Mauer will have a head start on Buxton, but he will need it near the end of the 6 years, as Buxton will be hitting his prime while the Chairman is in his mid thirties. And if Buxton really is as special as some think, he might be in Minnesota before we know it.
