Despite a big day at the dish from Danny Santana, who finished 2-3, the Minnesota Twins lost 8-1 to the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park on Sunday.

Anthony Swarzak brought the heat against the Giants during his outing. The Giants managed just one hit off of Swarzak, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Madison Bumgarner got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He allowed one run over seven innings. He struck out 10, walked none and surrendered three hits.

The Giants' Hunter Pence, Michael Morse and Gregor Blanco combined for nine hits and five RBIs.

Ricky Nolasco was charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out three.

The game's last lead went to the Giants thanks to a first inning rally that saw two runs cross the plate on a sacrifice fly by Morse and an RBI single by Pablo Sandoval.

In the third inning, the Twins pushed across their only run of the day on a sacrifice fly by Brian Dozier.
