Kyle Gibson did his part on the bump, but it wasn't enough to carry the Minnesota Twins to a win on Wednesday, as the Twins fell to the Boston Red Sox 2-1 at Fenway Park in 10 innings.

Gibson was in control on the mound. Gibson gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out eight during his seven innings of work.

Koji Uehara got the win in relief for the Red Sox. Uehara pitched one inning and allowed one run.

Casey Fien couldn't get it done on the hill for the Twins, taking a loss and blown save. He pitched one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.

The Twins' lone run of the ballgame came in the tenth inning on a solo home run by Chris Parmelee.

The Red Sox survived the Minnesota Twins' rally and put up two runs of their own in the tenth. The Red Sox tied the game on a solo home run by David Oritz and won the game with a solo home run by Mike Napoli.
