Good afternoon Twins fans! Here are some links for today:
- Congrats guys: Martin Kleinbard did the math and the Minnesota Twins objectively and indisputably have the best fans in baseball.
- Rob Neyer wondered why there are still so many signs telling people how to get to the Metrodome. The Star Tribune looked into it.
- Derek Wetmore looked at supply and demand on the trade market and concluded the Twins are not in the market to trade away a center fielder (among other things).
- Sam Fuld may be gritty but there's one thing he will not do.
- Speaking of fears, apparently Kernels coach and former-Twin Tommy Watkins is terribly afraid of frogs. If you ask me, his fear is 110% REASONABLE and don't ever bring a frog anywhere near me.
- Tommy Watkins and Jake Mauer are also best friends.
- When asked if he was worried about being traded, Glen Perkins told CBS Minnesota, "I'm not going anywhere. I don't need any reassurances."
- Sunday was Twins great Tony Oliva's 21st birthday. "I don't always understand what he's saying, but I love him," Gardy remarked.
- Sitting down for this one? Joe Mauer has resumed baseball activities.
- According to Hubert's bar manager, baseball fans tend to drink a lot of beer, while Timberwolves fans like martinis. Huh.
