RHP Jose Berrios also left his start tonight with what was described as "shoulder tightness," by Twins farm director Brad Steil.

The baseball gods hate the Minnesota Twins. Of the Twinkie Town top ten prospects, more than the Twins' fair share have been hurt: Byron Buxton, Miguel Sano, Kohl Stewart (who apparently will make his next start as the team believes the shoulder soreness is due to sleeping on a bus?), and now Jose Berrios. Max Kepler, too, although it's pretty clear that he's not a top ten prospect in the organization. Eddie Rosario missed 50 games due to a suspension based on a drug of abuse.
Source tells me it was indeed shoulder tightness that forced RHP J.O. Berrios from tonight's start after 48 pitches.

At this point, not much is known beyond the fact that Berrios had tightness in his shoulder. He did mark a serious decline in fastball velocity over a series of just a few pitches, from mid-90s to 89. You can see the video of his final pitch of the game here.
When there's more information, you'll find it here. Until then, let's hope for the best.
