Happy Halloween! Here’s the links:
- We all know Byron Buxton plays great defense, but now it’s officially award-winning! No, Buxton didn’t win the Gold Glove yet (though he is a finalist), he won the Fielding Bible Award. No, I’ve never heard of it either, but apparently it’s been around for twelve years? Anyway, congrats, Buck!
- Nick Nelson, however, wonders if the Twins can add even more to their defensive prowess.
- Did you SEE Game 5 of the World Series Sunday night? It was crazy! It featured a ninth-inning comeback to tie the game, SEVEN dingers, a walk-off win, and more. Grant Brisbee wrote a terrific piece about it and how it broke the game of baseball into a million pieces
- In fact, this whole World Series has been pretty great. Even Randball is asking if this series is better than the 1991 World Series. Personally, I think it depends on how the series ends.
- Our friends over at Minor League Ball have picked out three Twins prospects for people to keep their eyes on. Think they picked the right ones?
- Speaking of minor leaguers, Seth Stohs over at Twins Daily recently caught up with Cedar Rapids Kernels and Ft. Myers Miracle pitcher Clark Beeker. He talked about his 2017 season and stuff.
