Best defensive shortstop in baseball signs with Twins.
Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed, other than it's a one-year contract. More as information comes in, so be sure to post your thoughts and updates here.

Good move
Going by John Dewan's Plus/Minus system (my personal favorite of the play-by-play defensive metrics):
2005 - 2007 Plus/Minus Leaders - Shortstop
Adam Everett +92
Jason Bartlett +45
Clint Barmes +43
Jimmy Rollins +42
-------
Hanley Ramirez -43
Michael Young -64
Derek Jeter -90
FWIW, Everett's +92 is the highest total of any defensive player.
Caveats:
- He broke his leg last year. No one knows how that will alter his defensive value.
- Every year, obviously, he gets a little older. He's not the same defensive player he was 3 years ago.
