Community Projection - Joe Nathan
There's been a lot of talk this offseason in various corners that Joe Nathan is perhaps the most underrated closer in baseball. This is your chance to let everyone know how he ought to be rated. Can he possibly get any better? Is it finally time for a decline?
As usual, if you're submitting a projection (and please do so), just make a comment including your projected innings pitched, ERA, strikeouts/9, walks/9, home runs/9. Discussion/suggestions encouraged, and thanks to those who have been letting their opinions be known.

I'll say...
He still freaks me out with all of those warning track fly balls.

I'll go with
1.6 ERA
13 K/9
2 BB/9
.05 HR/9
And this year he'll actually get some saves in all the games he finishes.

None better
1.85 ERA
12.5 K/9
2.1 BB/9
0.35 HR/9
This is basically his season last year. Pretty good huh? I see no reason for him to be any worse than last year, and he really can't get much better, so my prediction is last year, but with more saves.

Agreed...
Also, re: the poll, who the heck voted for Jenks? Or K-Rod? Are you serious? You can't be.
K-Rod will break down again very soon IMO, and I've still never gotten why people swing at his junk. He rarely throws strikes and can get VERY wild at times. Teams need to learn to be patient against him, and he would not be very effective at all IMO.
