Quote of the Day
For the full story, see Kelly Theiser's story here.
While it was Nick Blackburn who didn't allow any runs on Tuesday afternoon, it was Phil Humber who made the start and apparently made a good impression on his coaches. He knows there's still work to be done, but he also flashed his talent in working himself out of a jam. Humber is getting close.

Watching on Gameday
With Baker ailing and Liriano struggling to regain some semblance of the form he showed before the injury, Humber is a real option to start the year in the rotation. It would sure be a great story if he seized the opportunity. Yo gotta love his attitude.

Concordia outing
This guy needs to come up north and get opportunities if Liriano's not ready in the next 12 days.

12 days!
I love this time of the year - debating about the starting rotation, which rookie is going to come through for team, Brackets at work when you should be working, grass showing and turning green, being able to go outside without a parka and oh yeah, some baseball team is about to begin playing games that count.
Go Twins!
