It's a good day for Twinkie Town to give some love to some other blogs and writers who keep the online community thriving.
The Godfather has returned, as most of us are aware. His new blog is a bit more informal this time around, but he has the following for it, and I've enjoyed it. Welcome back, TG, we're glad you're here.
Congratulations are in order for Aaron Gleeman, who has taken on a full-time job with Rotoworld. Also, if you haven't been following his ongoing list of the Top 40 Minnesota Twins, it's been a good list so far. He's up to #30, Jacque Jones. It seems that many of the players so far are from the recent era of the Twins, with six of the eleven playing for Minnesota within the last 10-15 years. I have a feeling most of the top ten will have played in the mid-1960's, and mid/late 1980's. Just a hunch, I could be wrong.
Batgirl has some interesting thoughts on why the Bitch Sox haven't been winning in spring training. Among the theories are The Revenge of Buehrle's Soul, an end to their deal with the devil, and a hypothesis that they used up all their wins last year.
The Greet Machine has turned into one of my favorite blogs since I've taken over Twinkie Town. It's run well, it's written well, and it covers topics I usually have no interest in touching. Check it out. I don't know why it's not in my links on the right-hand column. I'll add some tonight after work.
Over at Nick & Nick there's a great positional analysis series running. They're on relief pitchers right now, but be sure to go back through the catalogue and read some of the others; it's solid. One Nick or the other will drop by Twinkie Town from time to time, let's be sure to return the favor.
Seth over at Seth Speaks has been running some cool Q&A's with a number of different people within the organization. It's a great and interesting way to fill time leading up to the season.
SBG's new site looks poppin' fresh, and it still has that new-car smell. That other stench is the Timberwolves stinking up the place, but it's not his fault. He still follows them, like the true fan he is. More power to ya, SBG.
Those are just a few of the main sites. I'll do this again in a few days and hit some of the other sites; some new, some you know. Enjoy your Tuesday.
