...PHEW!!
I nearly blew it, for everyone. If you're wondering why I'm apologizing here, well, you deserve to be the first to know. It was too close for comfort, really...we're all lucky to have escaped this thing alive.
Yes, of course, I'm talking about the series with the Blue Jays. Y'know, the Blue Jays? The team on the skids, on the rocks, having a tough go. Toronto, a pretender in a group of contenders, ripe for the picking, easily a Twins-take-three-at-minimum type of series! Well...single-handedly...I almost ruined it for everybody.
I once ruined Christmas. Which is now why I can't have nice things, but that's a different story.
The reason I almost ruined the Blue Jays series is because I wrote for GameDay. If the Twins had been swept, I could never write for GameDay again. Thankfully, Brad Radke came up huge once again, as he's done oh-so-many times as of late, and he saved me. Oh yeah, and he stopped a losing streak.
It's been proven the Twins can win when I write for GameDay. That's a start. At least I know that, if I'm ever in a position to do so again, I can accept without fear of a full-blown team collapse. Whew!
I'm starting a new job tomorrow, so this post will be short. I'll be back tomorrow with the usual daily updates for the week! I hope you all had a good weekend.
