2000 was the last year a Minnesota Twin didn't receive the award.
Torii Hunter's seventh consecutive award matches up with Johan Santana's first, giving the Twins their first double-ticket winners since 2001. That season, first baseman Doug Mientkiewicz also took home the trophy; his only Gold Glove and Torii's first.
Here is a list of every Minnesota player to be awarded the defensive honor, since its inception in 1957.

Kaat won the Gold Glove from 1962 - 1975, the last three years with the Chicago White Sox. When he left it snapped a steak of twelve consecutive seasons where a player from Minnesota made the exclusive roster. Torii now owns second place in Minnesota Gold Glove history with seven; Kirby Puckett is third with six.
