Somehow, the Twins have managed to stay in the playoff race, if just barely, into the season's last weekend. I wrote them off a month ago, so I'm more than happy to be proven somewhat wrong, and would love nothing more than for them to play a 163rd game on Tuesday after the Vikings defeat the Packers on Monday.
That said, the journey of a thousand miles starts with a game between two starters no one outside of the Midwest has ever heard of:
