Game 23: Minnesota Twins vs. Kansas City Royals

First Pitch: 7:10 pm
TV: FSN (HD)
Radio: Twins Radio Network

Sidney Ponson is not good. This, we know. On the other hand, two out of his four starts this year have been quality starts. Last start, in particular, he worked eight innings and gave up three runs. So he's certainly capable of keeping the Roaysla in the game. And h'es always been tough on the Twins, in part because he doesn't throw anything in the center of the plate and the Twins typically swing at his stuff anyway. The key is to make him throw strikes early. That first at bat by Span is key.

Kevin Slowey also had an excellent last start. The Twins will take another near shutout tonight. Let's see how his pitches are moving early. If he has good sink on his pitches, he will be tough. If his pitches are flat, he better be crafty.
