Swarzak, wearing number 51, makes his major league debut tonight. His performance has been highly anticipated in some circles, although his minor league track record doesn't profile him as ace material. He gets a tough match-up tonight in the Brewers, so here's hoping this offensive juggernaut of ours keeps pumping out the runs.

2009 - Braden Looper 4-2 8 8 0 0 0 0 44.1 47 24 21 8 16 27 4.26 1.42

Looper's had a couple of good starts for the Crew, but strikeouts don't always correlate with the good ones. His good nights are when he limits his walks and allows less than a hit per inning. Hitters do have a tendency to go yard on him when he misses his spots; 17% of his fly-balls have been skyjacks. If the Twins let him get into a groove early and he starts retiring guys in bunches, the offense could be in trouble and Swarzak might have to do the heavy lifting.
