Know Thine Enemy: the always entertaining South Side Sox
The Twins beat the Pale Hosers in typical Dome fashion last night. The turf leprechauns got into the Hosers' gloves and arms and the Twins feet to score two runs without making solid contact. You gotta love it, especially when Ozzie starts kicking stuff in the dugout. Here's hoping the turf leprechauns are back in force tonight!
Probable Pitchers
Baker has had a decent season, but he gets out of whack easily. According to Bert, he doesn't bend his back, get that good downward plane and he leaves the ball up too much. At this point, that means nothing because every pitcher who ever gets hit hard has that problem. His problem is the big inning, and it seems to happen the third time through the order most of the time. Perhaps he doesn't mix his pattern up enough. He needs a good one tonight to beat the Twins' nemesis.
Coming off a perfect game with a history of success against the Twins, the smart money is on Buehrle to pitch very well tonight. But baseball is a funny game. Just when you expect it to zig, it zags. So I'm putting my money on green: Buehrle will give up 10 runs and get knocked out early. He's due for a clunker. You heard it here first.
