2009 - Scott Baker 6-6 15 15 0 0 0 0 92 87 52 51 17 18 74 4.99 1.14

In Baker's last seven starts, his ERA has gone down. Prior to his last start, when he only went five innings and threw 117 pitches against the Royals, Baker had thrown five consecutive quality starts. He's also 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA against the Yankees for his career. Strangely, both starts came against the 2006 Yankees, which was a very different team. This team has chewed through the league since it last played the Twins. The Yanks are 27-17 in that time frame, and 33-17 over it's last 50 games. Yet the team finds itself in the familiar position of looking up at the Red Sox. Hopefully "Bake" can find some of that 2006 magic and the team can get some revenge after getting swept in the Bronx in mid-May.

2009 - CC Sabathia 7-5 17 17 2 1 0 0 114.2 98 52 48 10 34 86 3.85 1.15

Sabathia is putting up the kind of season we all expected of him ciming into the year, despite a slow start. He's been tough on the Twins throughout his career, going 12-8 with a 3.12 ERA. Still, he has not dominated them like some other left handers. The Twins will go with a right-handed dominant line-up to try to break the spell. Hopefully, they can rattle him with the running game and get him out of his rhythm.
