Game 144: Twins vs. Cleveland

It's still eighty degrees outside, so that must mean it's summer, right? And that means baseball! Forget Adrian Peterson! Forget Brett Favre!

Nice win, though, right? I mean- NO, MUST NOT GET DISTRACTED! BASEBALL! Must beat Cleveland, sort of like the Vikings did HEY WAIT A MINUTE!

Probable Pitchers

W-L G GS CG SHO SV BS IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP
2009 - Carl Pavano 3-3 7 7 0 0 0 0 44.1 45 19 18 2 11 35 3.65 1.26

Carl Pavano, and Carl Pavano's Fighting Five O'Clock Shadow, take the hill once more against his former team. The righty beat Roy Halladay last time out, but the outing before that, he took the loss against the Indians (though that was the night that the Twins Comedy Defense Featuring Brendan Harris took the field behind him, committing four errors along the way.)

W-L G GS CG SHO SV BS IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP
2009 - Jeremy Sowers 6-9 19 18 0 0 0 0 107.1 109 58 57 8 43 44 4.78 1.42

Sowers was the winner that night, tossing six good innings to get the win. He hasn't started since that September 4th game, though, and I'm not sure I could tell you why, other than that the Indians got rained out once last week and had to play a doubleheader, and also had a day off in the middle.
