I can't argue with these results. Should I be surprised as I am that Tim Raines is only get that many votes? Probably not. But I am shocked at how few votes Harold Baines received. Baines hit .296/.378/.478...from ages 31 to 40. He was a superb hitter, and he had my vote. But again, it's all subjective.
Oddly enough I voted for ten guys, not realizing (because I read too fast, or not closely enough, or not at all) that I could have cut my vote off whenever I chose. That would have drastically changed my ballot, which looked like this:
- Blyleven
- Larkin
- Baines
- Mattingly
- Murphy
- McGwire
- Parker
- Morris
- Martinez
- Alomar
In retrospect, only three or four would have gotten my vote. Check here for SB Nation's full list of results.
