Happy Halloween all! One of my favorite holidays, for many reasons...
As we ramp up for Game 4 of the World Series and anticipate the Twins' upcoming decisions, we kick off a new weekly feature.
Twins-Related
- The Twins picked up Jason Kubel's option this week while officially declining Nick Punto's, which isn't so much a surprise as it's the expected coming to pass.
- Could Jesse Crain's desire to close have an effect on a potential return to the Twins?
- We found out, officially, who our Type A and Type B free agents will be. With Kubel's option picked up, Matt Guerrier and Carl Pavano remain the only two Type-A's.
- Orlando Hudson doesn't expect to be back. Again, it's not much of a surprise and MLB.com's Kelly Thesier speculated recently that this would be the case.
Twinkie Town Features
- Roger's weekly minor league report continued yesterday, as he reviewed the Gulf Coast League Twins. He'll be reviewing Twinkie Town's Top 50 Prospects from 2010 in coming weeks, so stay tuned for that.
- Stu encourages everyone to eat a healthy and balanced breakfast consisting of nicotine and pig.
- Bobomojo looks at the Twins Payroll Crunch and some of the difficult decisions facing the front office this winter.
- Jon takes a pass through the 2011 schedule and picks out a few highlights.
- I outlined the decisions I would make for the Twins over the winter in two parts, first looking at the direction and overall changes and then focusing on specific moves.
- Finally...we're running a contest through Facebook likes, which could garner you free stuff. Our winner of level one (500 likes is level one) will be announced this week! They'll be getting a Twins jersey shirt of the player of the winner's choice. Once we reach 2000 likes, a new winner will get themselves a Twins hooded sweatshirt...let's see how many we can get!
- Bighead306 outlines his two priorities this winter in Right Handed Bat and Outfield Defense.
Enjoy your night everybody, and we'll see you tomorrow!
