I know what you're asking: What do you mean by "sponsor"? It means they love us.
Basically, Comcast has recognized how great of a community this is--from all of us on the front page to all of the FanPost contibutors and to all of the great discussion in the comment threads--and so they've decided to sponsor Twinkie Town this season. They know that this is the best place to go for intelligent and passionate discussion on the Minnesota Twins, and I'm excited that they want to be a part of it. It means we're doing something right, and that's not just a boost for us here at Twinkie Town, it's a boost for SB Nation.
Comcast, of course, wouldn't be our sponsor if they didn't have something to offer baseball aficionados...which is their baseball programming. It's watching the games that gets us to talk about the Twins in the first place, and they've got a pretty attractive offer for all of your baseball coverage needs. Or at least I think so--you can decide for yourself.
Here's what Comcast has for you:
- If you're already a Comcast customer, you can get Digital Preferred TV with MLB Network for $9.99 a month for the first six months.
- If you are NOT a Comcast customer, however, this deal floors me: switch from Dish Network or AT&T and get MLB Extra Innings for...free. As in $0.00.
Dish Network and AT&T U-Verse can't do that. Only Comcast serves up MLB Extra Innings and their great coverage of MLB Network. If you want in, call 1-800-COMCAST.
That's it. Thanks to Comcast for their support of Twinkie Town!
Comcast is an SB Nation partner and sponsor of the SB Nation baseball communities.
