Twinkie Town Supports Make-A-Wish

I'm passing this along to you after an email from John Bonnes, because I think it's a good cause.  TwinsGeek has the full press release, with lots of additional information, but I want to make you aware of what you can do to support Make-A-Wish as a Twins fan.Twinsbasebball_medium

Essentially if you head to NikoSports, they're auctioning some Minnesota Twins collectibles.

There are two items, the first of which is a baseball in an acrylic case commemorating the inaugural season of Target Field that sells for $39.95, where $4 of each sale goes to Make-a-Wish. There are only 5000 and they can be bought by clicking here.

The second item is a plaque that will contain a picture from Opening Day, an action picture of Mauer, and a dirt from the new infield. Only 2010 of those will be produced and it can be bought by clicking here.Targetfieldplq_medium

The company that does this has raised $1.7 million for children's charities in recent years, and this one if for Make-a-Wish Foundation of Minnesota.  Before doing anything, I do suggest you swing by TG's site and get all the information you can, but this is for a good cause and you can pick up some Twins collectible stuff while you're at it!

Thanks everybody.  If you have any questions, email John.  Now back to our regularly scheduled programming...
