As many of you have already noticed, we've debuted our new logo here at Twinkie Town. It's been a long process, but ultimately my favorite design came from our own Trevour (the guy behind our Sunday Funnies series). A massive, massive thank you to Trevour, who took my suggestions and turned it into pretty much exactly what I was looking for.
When we started, we wanted to keep a few of the elements that made the original Twinkie Town logo so solid: skyline, stadium and sky. After some discussion we also decided that the new logo needed to include grass, because let's be honest, one of the biggest reasons we're all so excited about Target Field is because it means a return to outdoor baseball.
We thought about a rural setting. We thought about the St. Paul skyline. Ultimately we wanted a representation that was uniquely and unequivocally Twins-related; a logo that, when you looked at it, you understood that it was a logo for the Twins and for Twinkie Town--not a logo that could be applied anywhere to any baseball team.
