Game 90: White Sox @ Twins

First Pitch: 7:10 PM CDT
TV: Fox Sports North
Radio: Twins Radio Network
Know Thine Enemy: South Side Sox

Serenity: Now

I plan on taking my 6-year-old to an early showing of Despicable Me this evening so I can miss the first few innings on purpose. That ought to make a difference, right?

Lifetime stats against the White Sox: 0-3, 8.27 ERA. Coming off his worst outing of the year. No doubt knows that the team absolutely needs him to perform tonight. Let's see what happens.

Much like the rest of his team, Floyd is on a roll right now, having given up one run or less in six of his last seven starts. The South Siders are going for their tenth win in a row this evening.

If you follow LaVelle's lineup link, you'll see he pulls no punches on the current state of the team he covers:

The starting rotation is in tatters, and the front office is just sitting back and letting opponents have their way. So it's up to Franchise to step up.

Hard to argue with that. A victory tonight won't cure all their problems, but it might just help them (and the fans) breathe a little easier. Enjoy the game, everybody.
