2010 - Jake Arrieta 3-2 8 8 0 0 0 0 44.1 44 27 24 5 24 21 4.87 1.53

Arrieta is a 24-year old right-hander in his first big league season, and for as poor as some of his rate stats are there is reason for a little optimism for Orioles fans. He posted decent strikeout rates in the minors, he's still getting batters to chase a fair number of pitches, and considering he's a bit of a fly ball pitcher he doesn't let too many balls escape over the fences.

His best pitch this season has been his fastball, but he complements it with a good mid-80s slider, a curve and an occasional changeup.

Dear Kevin,

I love you. Please pitch well. Also, Scott Baker shaved Jon Rauch's head and pasted the remains to his face to simulate some kind of facial hair. You should do this too.

Love,

Jesse
