Know Thine Enemy: Bluebird Banter
Liriano has a good chance at reaching 200 strikeouts in a season for the first time--a number he should reach as long as he isn't knocked out early.
No matter how you look at it, Liriano's had a great year. He won't win the Cy Young, and he shouldn't, but he's been one of the best five starters in the American League and he's an ace for October. If he can roll tonight, I'll be pretty amped up. If not, I'll have to do some serious rationalizing in the morning.
If he could stay healthy, he might have a marginal career. For now, he throws and his family and friends wince. True story.
No lineups yet, but the news right now: Justin Morneau is hoping to be back by the ALCS. That would be f*****g awesome, pardon my french. I'm not holding my breath yet, but it's a great sign, and yes--I firmly believe that this team will make the ALCS.
