Micah "Why you lookin' at me I didn't do nothin'" Owings
#15 / Pitcher / Arizona Diamondbacks
Sep 28, 1982
Well, Owings is back with the Diamondbacks after a two-year hiatus with the Reds. As you can see, his hat still things he's playing the hellish tundra of Ohio. This is his first appearance of the season for Arizona, having made a handful of starts for their triple-A affiliate.
Owings isn't really a groundball or flyball pitcher, but gives up plenty of each. Early in his career his fastball was his best pitch, but back then it was two miles an hour faster, too. It will be difficult to tell how well he throws any of his offerings right now, but he will compliment that fastball with a slider and a changeup.

I like Scott Baker. If Liriano can't be this team's ace, I'd love for it to be Baker. He can miss bats, he can go deep into games if he can be efficient, and he isn't easily rattled. This is his chance to lead, to keep losing one game from turning into another losing streak, and to get himself back into a groove as well.
