Technorati Loves Twinkie Town and the Feeling Is Mutual

Untitled-2_medium
Apparently, when I wasn't looking, Technorati decided that Twinkie Town was one of the best baseball blogs around. Of course we already have some of the most dedicated and intelligent Twins fans you can find, bantering daily about the (well, this season at least) frustrations of the season. But recently we must have changed something, because we've just been ranked as the number nine baseball blog. Check it out.

Technorati has a fairly dynamic ranking system, and they explain it all right here. I'll be honest, I don't know what all of it means. Next week we may fall out of the Top 100 completely. But right now we're keeping company with MLB Trade Rumors, The Hardball Times, and a few other SB Nation baseball blogs. Six of the top ten belong to SB Nation.

Whatever changed, I'll take it.

Don't get me wrong, I think this is great for us. But more than anything, and I think my other front page writers can attest to this, I think this is a tribute to the community as a whole. I love this place. (I'd have to or I'd have burned out a long time ago.) I love seeing it grow and thrive, and I love how active we are as a group--not just the front page but the literally hundreds of people who contribute in some way on a daily basis.

So, yes. That's it. High fives all around for this someone random yet cool achievement!
