Baker is pitching well, which is no surprise, and he's been fun to watch. He's missing bats, he's workng himself out of trouble, and although he continues to give up too many home runs they aren't doing him a terrible amount of damage because he's not allowing that many base runners.
His ERA this season is healthy, and over his last ten games it's a pristine 3.39. He'll need to be careful with that high fastball today, moreso than usual with this Rangers lineup, but as long as he's hitting his spots with his off-speed stuff he should have another opportunity to get the Twins a win.
Lewis had been pitching well. In May he allowed just 32 hits and seven walks in 37 innings of work, sporting a 2.43 ERA for the month. But he got shelled in his last start: 3.1 innings, 9 earned runs against the Tigers down in Arlington.
