2011 - Nick Blackburn 5-4 13 13 1 0 0 0 83.0 89 39 32 12 23 46 3.47 1.35

Pavano finished off the White Sox on 96 pitches last night, averaging just 3.6 pitcher per out. It was obviously less per plate appearance. Considering that Blackburn is, in some ways, a very similar pitcher to Pavano at this stage of his career, expect the Sox to be a bit more patient with Blackburn. But as long as Nick has some sink on his fastball and can move in and out with command, he should be alright.

Blackburn is the owner of a 2.62 ERA over his last eight starts.

Decent control, hittable, not a lot of strikeouts, pitching well. Sound familiar, Twins fans?

Lineups after the jump.
