Know Thine Enemy: Gaslamp Ball
As far as I'm concerned, if the Twins have just one player who is worthy of selection to the All-Star game, it's Baker. It's very feasible that Minnesota has just the one required representative. Does anyone else deserve it more than him? Not as far as I'm concerned.
Stauffer just turned 29, and the right-hander has spent parts of six seasons with the Padres. He's been largely effective this season, as his peripherals show. He has a propensity for inducing ground balls (a lot of them), he has a good fastball in the lower 90s, a decent slider, a hittable curve, and a changeup he'll offer more to left-handed pitchers but is a solid contribution nevertheless.
He's an unknown quantity to the Twins, and is having a good season. Our offense could be in for a battle.
