The apocalypse is officially upon us, now that Thome and Kubel are on the DL. Mauer to the 60-day, although that doesn't have any effect on when he'd return. Hughes and Revere to return. Going back to the opening day roster: Mauer, Nishioka, Kubel, Thome, Liriano, Nathan, Perkins and Slowey are on the disabled list; Mijares, Young and Repko have spent time on the DL; Manship and Hughes are no longer on the 25-man. Of that original 25-man roster, only 11 have NOT been on the DL at some point this year, and only 15 of the original 25 are currently on the 25-man. Ridiculous.

Swarzak had such a great outing last weekend. We talked earlier today about how his fastball really isn't very good but he's been having success with it anyway, so it will be interesting to see how quickly the Royals get ahold of it.Twins
