After blowing an opportunity to narrow the AL Central gap to 5 games last night, the Twins need good Francisco, not overhyped-because-I-have-friends-in-Detroit Francisco. I have no idea which one will show up, and neither do you. If you drink, I'd recommend doing so.

A 2-door hatchback that gets 44 MPG in the city, 49 on the highway, he comes with 5-speed manual overdrive standard and a 1.0L 55 hp l3 engine. If you are lo--excuse me, I'm sorry, those are the specs for a 1997 Geo Metro. I regret the error.

The people who hit the pitched ball are after the jump in lineup form:

Lineups (courtesy Joe C.):

Twins:

1. Ben Revere, CF
2. Trevor Plouffe, 2B
3. Joe Mauer, 1B
4. Michael Cuddyer, RF
5. Jason Kubel, DH
6. Delmon Young, LF
7. Luke Hughes, 3B
8. Matt Tolbert, SS
9. Drew Butera, C

Athletics:

1. Jemile Weeks, 2B
2. Coco Crisp, CF
3. Hideki Matsui, DH
4. Josh Willingham, LF
5. Conor Jackson, 1B
6. David DeJesus, RF
7. Scott Sizemore, 3B
8. Kurt Suzuki, C
9. Cliff Pennington, SS

Notes:

  • No Danny Valencia or Tsuyoshi Nishioka this evening. Per the Pioneer Press' John Shipley, Valencia's in the doghouse and Nishioka is pressing, which you probably would have guessed from watching the former's fielding play last night and the latter's attempts to hit a fastball on this continent.
  • Joe C. notes in the link above that the Twins' plan for Denard Span to play 5-6 games in Rochester and have him in Anaheim on Tuesday. Unless he's traded to Washington for Drew Storen, Bryce Harper, Stephen Strasburg and whoever else they feel like throwing in.
  • Christensen also notes that Justin Morneau is basically cleared for takeoff, and may be on his way to Florida for some simulated games soon.

Enjoy the game, everybody.
