2011 - Philip Humber 8-4 17 15 0 0 0 0 103.2 76 33 31 7 26 63 2.69 .98

Look at the hits column, and then at the innings pitched column. Together they tell a big part of the story of Humber's success.

He's getting a good number of ground balls, but a big reason for his success is because nobody is making good contact. Humber continually induces terrible contact. The slider is back, which has thrown every scouting report you had on him right out the window. It means his fastball is that much better, and it also takes the pressure off his changeup and curveball.

This will be very interesting.

I demand he bring back the mustache. That is all.

Lineups after the jump, including some guy named Joe Mauer playing at first base.
