No worries, Twins fans: you can still get your Jim Thome Wind-Up Walker even though the inspiration for said toy is no longer with the team. (h/t: Michael Rand)

He could pitch 5-6 mediocre-to-lousy innings, and he'd be in the running for Twins player of the week. Go Scott Diamond! Whoever you are!

Porky, as I and only I call him, is 0-2 with an 11.48 ERA in his last three starts. The Twins just got shut down by the 2011 Baltimore Orioles. Resistable force, movable object, let's play.

Lineups and news are after the jump:

Lineups:

1. Ben Revere, CF
2. Trevor Plouffe, SS
3. Justin Morneau, 1B
4. Michael Cuddyer, RF
5. Jason Kubel, DH
6. Danny Valencia, 3B
7. Rene Tosoni, LF
8. Matt Tolbert, 2B
9. Drew Butera, C

Tigers:

1. Austin Jackson, CF
2. Magglio Ordonez, RF
3. Delmon Young, LF
4. Miguel Cabrera, 1B
5. Victor Martinez, DH
6. Alex Avila, C
7. Jhonny Peralta, SS
8. Ryan Raburn, 2B
9. Brandon Inge, 3B

News:

  • Jason Kubel, Professional Hitter, has NOT been traded. He's your DH this evening.
  • Jason Repko has been reinstated from the disabled list and replaces Jim Thome. As PHIL Mackey notes, the Twins still have an open slot on the 40-man roster.
  • No Mauer again, and after initially being in the lineup, no Nishi, either. Per Joe C., the latter says he's only 80-90% with a strained oblique.
  • They'll either score one run on a double play or hit double digits tonight. I really have no idea.

Enjoy the game, everybody.
