This is the first the Twins will have seen Weaver since he signed his extension with the Angels. It's been a good story, simply because it's nice to hear that, sometimes, professional athletes aren't out for every last million they can get. Weaver and his family are set for life. Good for him for having some perspective.

It seems like Pavano is either giving up one or two runs a start, or four or five. WIth the Twins' offense, that means it's either sink or swim: scoring more than three runs can be difficult this year. The Angels are surging, but as much as I'd love to see a great pennant race between them and the Rangers, I still prefer to see the Twins win games. Here's hoping for one of those one or two-run performances.
