Twins Add Roenicke, Lose Casilla

Per Denver Post Rockies beat writer Troy Renck, the Twins have claimed reliever Josh Roenicke off waivers. The Rockies fans responding to that Twitter post seem fairly despondent. The Twins also claimed shortstop Tommy Field (h/t the indefatigable Aaron Gleeman) from the Rockies' Triple-A Colorado Springs squad.

Not long after that news broke came word from the Baltimore Sun's Dan Connolly that the Orioles had claimed longtime Twin Alexi Casilla. 1500ESPN's Doogie "Darren" Wolfson says the Twins have been shopping Casilla for weeks, and this is the disappointing end result. I think everyone saw this coming, but still: it'll be weird not having him around.
