Good morning Twins fans! Some links for you to catch up on as you drink your coffee, worship King John, and/or enjoy your morning:
- The Minnesota Twins have come to an agreement with their first round draft pick--second pick overall--Byron Buxton. So woohoo--the Twins finally have an African American center fielder... wait, what?
- You can also follow what appears to be Byron Buxton on Twitter: @byronbuxtonTC
- As pointed out by LEN3, Danny Valencia is batting .214 in AAA. So there is that.
- Former Twins closer Jon Rauch did not have the best game for the Mets Sunday when he surrendered a losing homerun to Russell Martin. A multitude of 'delightful' New York City Sports Fans told him their thoughts via Twitter, which he relayed to us via re-tweeting all said hateful thoughts to his followers. Honestly--why would anyone say these things to someone they did not even know? As a born and raised Minnesotan, it is beyond me.
- Former Minnesota Twin and everyone-favorite Jim Thome is in town for the next three days with the Phillies. Take this in Twins fans--as some Phillies beat writers are already speculating that Thome will retire after AL inter-league.
Jim Thome--you are the best, always, thank you and good luck tonight at Target Field!
