As I briefly mentioned in today's Breakfast & Baseball post, Brian Duensing is getting the start today against the Reds. The Twins have cited that they want Duensing, a lefty, to start so they have a better chance of neutralizing two of the Reds' best hitters in Joey Votto and Jay Bruce. He draws a tough assignment in squaring off against the Reds' ace Johnny Cueto, who is 8-3 with a 2.38 ERA, not to mention also that Duensing is only expected to go about 50-60 pitches today. Expect a heavy dosage of Anthony Swarzak and/or Jeff Manship as well today.
