Liriano's 2.47 ERA in his last six starts is a long way from the 9.45 ERA in his first six. The better he pitches, the more people will talk about him being traded. I'm not sure if he actually will be dealt, unless the front office truly believes he won't be or doesn't want to be a part of their future, but it sure as hell will be talked about.
Chen has been consistently not terrible for his entire career. He's also been consistently a thorn in the Minnesota offense's side over the last couple years. It'd be really nice to break that recent theme.
