Today the Twins take on the Detroit Tigers. Liam Hendriks (0-5, 6.82) climbs the mound opposite to Doug Fister (1-5, 3.91). In 422 Minor League innings, Liam Hendriks surrendered a grand total of 15 innings. In 34.1 innings this year he has given up 10. He has been largely terrible so far this season, but in his last 16.1 innings, Hendriks has been largely average. He's had a 4.41 ERA and a 7.2 K/9.

Doug Fister on the other hand over his last 16.1 innings has been worse. He's owned a 5.51 ERA. Other than ERA Hendriks and Fister have been virtually the same pitcher. They both have a 1.408 WHIP. Both starting pitchers are looking to start anew in July.

The Twins have gone 24-77 against Doug Fister for a .312 average. Joe Mauer is the only hitter for the Twins who is hitless against Doug Fister, going 0-13.
