Tonight might just be Francisco Liriano's last start in a Twins uniform. And despite his 4.81 ERA, Liriano has posted a 2.84 ERA in his last 10 starts since re-joining the rotation. Since his first start since coming back, he has also had a K rate of almost 11. Frankie has been mowing them down as of late, and not just with the strikeout, he's been getting ground balls at a healthy rate. Liriano has been doing everything he can to keep opposing batters off base, and he has been doing just that.
Where Francisco Liriano has seemed to have figured everything out over his last 10 starts, Gavin Floyd has not. He has posted an ERA of 6.19 over his last 10 starts. To go along with that, he has surrendered 13 home runs and opposing batters have a .303/.363/.545 batting line against him in those 10 starts. Which is close to Jason Kubel's line for the year. In short, Floyd hasn't been very good this year.
At the time of this writing, lineups haven't been posted yet. I will post them as soon as I see them if I am not already beaten to the punch in the comments section.
