Heavers:
I don't see it happening, and there is zero chatter out there on the AOL, but if the Twins move Francisco Liriano over the All-Star break, tonight would be his last appearance in a Twins uniform. He'll be trying to extend his recent run of competent-to-good starts on the road (where he is winless in 2012) in the withering heat against Josh Hamilton and the Texas Rangers, who have the best home record in baseball. Good luck.
The Twins are potentially catching a break here, as Perez is starting in place of All-Star Yu Darvish. Perez did win his start on Saturday against the Athletics. The Rangers are in the midst of their longest losing streak since last June. It's only four games, but with the Twins throwing an enigma and two emergency starters out there this weekend, it's something, right?
