The Twins ace-by-default, Scott Diamond, will be taking the mound, after a fantastic 3-hit complete game his last outing. He'll be facing the White Sox' Jake Peavy, whose last start was a win against the Twins in Chicago.

Notes
-The Twins were pretty quiet around the Trade Deadline this year. Though a lot of rumors surrounded outfielder Denard Span and infielder Justin Morneau, neither were dealt to any other teams, and the Twins stayed put for the time being (minus the Liriano trade, noted below).
-The White Sox, obviously, added Francisco Liriano to their starting rotation this past week, and gave Minnesota an infielder and bullpen arm for the former ace.
