After yesterday's shellacking, the Twins are going to look for some revenge, but it's going to be tricky. They'll have to face possible Cy Young candidate David Price, who is 14-4 this year with a 2.49 ERA. To make things even harder, they counter with Nick Blackburn, who is 4-7 with a 7.42 ERA. Forgive me for being pessimistic, but I could see a repeat of yesterday's game tonight.
Although Cole De Vries lasted only 1 1/3 innings last night, the bullpen avoided overuse with the aid of Jeff Manship (4 innings) and Luis Perdomo (2 2/3 IP). Yeah, Manship ended up giving 4 runs, but when the game was already out of hand, eating those innings was huge, as Ron Gardenhire was able to keep Glen Perkins and Jared Burton in the 'pen.
