Game 124: Twins @ Rangers

Know Thine Enemy: Lone Star Ball

After 11 days being unavailable, it sounds like Denard Span is back in action tonight. There's no reason for the Twins to rush anybody back from anything at this point, but I'm sure there was some pressure for Span to get back before he missed the full 15 days at which point he should have been on the DL anyway. Here's hoping he's fully healthy and ready to go.

2012 - Roy Oswalt 4-2 10 7 0 0 0 0 44.2 61 32 30 8 9 43 6.04 1.57

Oswalt is making his second start after a brief stint in the bullpen, and he'll attempt to top the 4.2 inning, one-run performance in Toronto. In spite of turning just 35 in a few days, Oswalt seems a long way from the ace-level pitcher he used to be. So it only stands to reason that he'll mow through the lineup tonight.

2012 - Scott Diamond 10-5 19 19 1 1 0 0 128.0 135 49 42 13 18 70 2.95 1.20

Diamond's 2.95 ERA is still sixth in the American League. Is there any way he gets consideration for the American League Rookie of the Year?
