Game 143: Kansas City Royals @ Minnesota Twins

First Pitch: 7:10 pm CST
TV: FSN

Most Number of Games the Twins Can Lose to Avoid 100 Losses: 16
The Twins only have 19 games remaining in the season, which means we're going to see either really fun minor league baseball or a lot of players mailing it in for the next couple of weeks. Either way, should be a good time. Tonight, the Twins take on the Royals again at Target Field, with Luke Hochevar (pronounced "Luke", according to Stu) on the mound for the Royals and P.J. Walters for the Twins. In his last start, Walters had a rough go of things and is looking to bounce back tonight.

Lineups and notes after the jump...

Minnesota

Kansas City

Notes
-Despite their pretty terrible season, the Twins have still had a good amount of success against Kansas City this season, winning 10 of their 16 games so far.
-The Twins are 3rd in the AL for stolen bases with 118. This is the most the Twins have stolen in one season since 2001, when they stole 146 bases.
-In his career, Joe Mauer, noted terrible baseball player and all-around awful person, is hitting a wimpy .519 against Luke Hochevar. His most recent success was that lovely grand slam on Sept. 1.

Go Twins!
