Know Thine Enemy: Bless You Boys
Likely because the Twins and Tigers play on FOX today, they were not willing to have a doubleheader today, and instead chose to have it on Sunday. I wonder if the Vikings are worried with now having to compete with TWO #SpoilerTour2K12 games instead of one now.
Good luck hitting the ball in the air. Samuel Deduno and Doug Fister both have above average groundball rates (above 50% for both), so the infields will be kept busy. I'm fine with that, because honestly the fewer balls that are hit to Ryan Doumit in the outfield, the better.
Fister's had some bad luck on his side for his whole career. Yeah yeah, W/L record is not the best way to look at a pitcher, but despite having a 3.53 ERA for his career, Fister only has a 29-40 record. A good chunk of that was due to having a Mariners offense backing him up for his first ~2 years of his career, including a 3-12 mark last year prior to being traded to the Tigers. At least Detroit has been more friendly for him, as he's racked up a 17-10 record ever since the trade.
It's my sister's birthday today, so I may or may not have the lineups posted prior to game time. It just depends on what we're doing this afternoon.
