Do you think a day goes by that the Diamondbacks don't regret including Max Scherzer in that massive 2009 trade? Or do they think that Edwin Jackson and Ian Kennedy were worth it? Scherzer is leading the league in strikeouts and strikeout rate this season. He's no Justin Verlander, but if Justin's the A1 then Scherzer is easily the A2. Today will be fun. Or cringe worthy.

In terms of ERA and WHIP, Diamond is quite comparible to Scherzer. But that's where the comparison ends. Also, over his last five starts Diamond has amassed just 25.2 innings along with a 7.36 ERA, 34 hits, and nine walks. He's going to have to rekindle something today.
